The atmosphere of the hotel was quiet and friendly. We loved the old furniture and quaintness of the building. Guests can come and go without being checked on. Lounge room was amazing - warm, comfortable and available for us to sit with our friends. Staff were non intrusive but there when needed and exceptionally, calmly helpful. When our flights out were delayed by ash cloud, it took a lot of stress from us to be able to extend our booking.
Tv in room pretty awful. I tried to watch Wimbledon but picture was poor
I have significant dietary needs and the hotel staff looked after me very well. The room was nice - air conditioner was fantastic!! The location was great. It was a really positive stay and I would return
Lugging a suitcase up stairs!!
We stayed in the hotel about ten years ago when attending a wedding, and this visit was for the same reason. The hotel is close to Bondi Junction where we had to go, is comfortable and has a casual and friendly atmosphere you don't get at the big name hotels. The staff were ready to help with all our requests whether it was to work the TV, call a cab, or arrange early breakfast. We had a beaut meal one night and were relaxed during the whole of our stay. We would stay there again when next in Sydney.
The staff were very freindley and helpful food was good lamb shank pot pie was great breakfast was good I was not well one night the hotel sent up toast to our room very nice of them when we checked out one lady came out to the car with us wished us goodbye like an old friend will stay there again
I was impressed with the historical parts of the facility - very interesting and located in a great location within the Sydney CBD.
I had a minor issue securing a carpark that I had previously booked/reserved during my booking via the internet some x3 months prior. This situation was resolved by staff on the reception desk upon checking in. Parking is minimal and limited around this facility.
a beautiful boutique hotel. rooms though pretty tired. front desk staff very underwhelming , and not too welcoming.breakfast was average...definitely get coffee elsewhere.
I like the location and the comfortable lounge downstairs - lots of places to get away.
I think that the stay could be improved by replacing the beds - they are old and lumpy. PLease call my husband on 0407690564 - he is connected to Sealy. Also my husband noticed that the library room was in need of cleaning. Shower curtains too short and the floor flooded each time we showered.
LOcation very central to Paddington
Location, restaurant and ambience and friendly staff.
Towel ack fell off the wall in the bathroom needs maintenance and a freshen up.
There was a nice friendly atmosphere and the staff were great. Really liked the literary touch - many book covers displayed beautifully on the walls. Good breakfast too.
Some of the rooms were dark and not very comfortable. Our daughter stayed too and they had a downstairs room which was large enough but dark. Our room was pleasant, but the bathroom was tiny.
A comfortable hotel with friendly staff, good breakfast and car parking - most necessary in this part of Sydney.
The friendliness of the staff, the breakfast and location to where my son and I were going to to watch the cricket. Also the parking .
Having to go out onto a varandah to use the kitchen area
Location and enjoy the relaxed lounge, also the breakfast.
Love the building and the location is fabulous
Staff were not very friendly which was a shame because the first time we stayed they were good
the atmosphere and location breakfast service
kettle on floor to boil due to powerpoint placement with no table we are pet lovers but animals in the eating areas?????
